When you want change, the simplest thing you can do is transform your own apartment. This can be done without leaving the threshold and without spending a penny.
1. Remove unnecessary items
Over the years, we accumulate a lot of things. Walk through your home and decide which things you no longer need and which ones you will never be able to part with.
The degree of affection can be checked by three criteria: functionality, beauty and sentimental value.
Keep the things that are practical or tell a story about you, and remove the rest. This will give you clean shelves and space that can be redecorated, and a little less clutter in your home.
2. Use items for other purposes

There is no need to try to place kitchen accessories exclusively in the kitchen and art objects in the living room. A nice cutting board, for example, can be used as a tray on a side table. And expensive plates that you take out once every five years can be hung on the walls instead of paintings.
3. Use paint
Take a look at all the furniture in the room. To transform the space, you can try repainting old boring interior items in your favorite color. And if you don’t want to change the room so radically, then practice on photo frames.
4. Strangeness – in a prominent place!

Think about what hobby or passion sets you apart from the rest. Maybe it’s time for a large airplane art to hang on the living room wall?
5. Use books as coasters

6. Place some goodies in the bowls
Take out beautiful plates or vases, pour nuts or sweets into them, put different fruits. Guests will involuntarily gather around such a treat.
7. Place all paintings and photographs on one wall

Determine the focal point – the picture that will attract attention when entering the room. Find a suitable wall and place a focal point, then hang the rest of the pieces. Alternate large and small paintings. Don’t skimp on space: it’s okay if the gallery takes up the entire wall.
8. Group books on a shelf by color

9. Clean up the hallway
The hallway stores things that will be useful to you on the street: an umbrella, a scarf, glasses. Make this space more organized. Think about how you can add convenience and beauty to the closet, bedside table, ottoman, which are located in the hallway.
Here are some ideas.
- Place a cozy lamp in the hallway (its light is much more pleasant than that of ceiling lamps).
- Hang a picture and a couple of extra coat hooks.
- A beautiful trash bin will serve as an excellent storage for waste paper from the mailbox.
- All small items can be placed on a large tray: small change in a plate, glasses in a glass.
10. Surround yourself with inspiration in the bedroom
Leave on your bedside table only those things that will inspire you in the morning after waking up and before going to bed. A souvenir figurine from your favorite country, a photograph of a loved one, a beautiful vase of flowers.
